An Introduction to New Jersey Home - New Jersey Politics 101

New Jersey is the most densely populated state with nearly 8.7 million residents. The population is very diverse: 66% are White, 13.6% Black, 13.3% Hispanic and 5.7% Asian. The religious breakdown is: 77% Christian (39% Roman Catholic, 36% Protestant), 5% Jewish, 1% Muslim and 16% Non-Religious. New Jersey lies between New York and Philadelphia - the first and fourth largest media markets in the country, which makes campaigning in the state very expensive. This introductory guide to New Jersey is broken up into four main sections: Levels of Government, Politics, Issues and Important Names.

I have an issue & I haven't had any response from the Governor or Atty. General.
My child was assaulted in 2000. The offender had an uncle who was a Freeholder in that County at the time of the arrest & conviction.
"Things" didn't seem "right" at the time of the conviction & sentencing of the offender, but I really had no say in any of the proceedings.
Two years later I had an issue with the offender & I went to the Prosecutor's Office for assistance & things went CRAZY from there..........
I believe that the uncle who is now currently an Assemblyman / wanna be Senator had "something" to do with the CRAZY issues I've had to deal with.
Neither Governor Corzine or the Atty. General will assist me in investigating this allegation.
Who else is eligible / willing to review the Prosecutor's notes & tapes concerning the case referring to my child's assault?
I feel I have the right to know if "things" went on behind the scenes & I wasn't made aware of the fact about the offender's uncle until the sentencing of the offender was over.
Does the Government have a choice about wether to look into this alleged corruption?
There's much more to this, and the lack of proper assistance from the Prosecutor's Office has taken over 910 days of my life as well as my family's.
Thanks.
Sincerely,
Patricia Mitchell
